The June Niles Art Walk

The June Niles Art Walk is offering a variety of displays and diverse subjects for visitors as the district eases into summer.

Corrie Glass is pleased to host emerging local artist, Stephen Barkkarie. While growing up, he was exposed to the art his mother created and the large collection his father had acquired; but it was years later before he became inspired to capture places that touched his heart by the medium of water color. He has been influenced by professional artists, Douglas and Janet Chun and is currently studying under award winning artist Charlotte Severin. Now he paints places, people and, other things he loves. In celebration of the new railroad themed Niles Town Plaza, his presentation at the Art Walk will center around one of his passions, trains.

For a different spectrum, teen artists will be demonstration their talents. These will be free form displays either adding to already begun paintings of local themes such as Old Town Niles or new creative beginnings. This is hopefully going to be an ongoing project with each painting having multiple artists making their contributions.

The Fremont Art Association is honored to once again present an outstanding artist and instructor, Laura Williams, The Laura Williams June workshop will focus on the exploration of color and basic value patterns. Participants will paint and the instructor will provide personal assistance. To take part in the workshop, registration must be done in advance. The cost is $150.00 for the 2 day series.
